Thanks to all. To be honest I'm never very comfortable with Australia Day. It celebrates what Aboriginal people rightly perceive as a colonial invasion, and even for Australian's who can ignore that aspect it is generally a fairly half-hearted attempt at a national day. The trouble is no one seems able to think of a better one.
